Battalion found various working parties on our own Sector of the line. Dull day. No Shells in village.

Wet day. R.E. Working Parties found for work in TENDERLOIN, VALLADE & ASSEMBLY TRENCHES. Major G N B FORSTER arrived and took over our Command of Battalion. Village not shelled today.

Battalion marched off at 10.45am. to MAILLY-MAILLET & arrived 12.30pm. Wet day. Battalion pitch Camp in Wood. H.Qrs in Billet No 73.

Camp in very bad state. Slept in small outhouse, very cross old lady.

Wet day. Few Working Parties found for R.E. Remainder of men rest & clean up.

Saw red Rocket 1^st time. Tres Bien.

Battalion marched off at 8.30pm. & arrived BERTRANCOURT 9.30pm. & billet in Huts.

Wet day.  Majority of Battalion on Working Parties. Quiet day.

Fairly fine day. Working Parties found for R.E. Wet night & cold.
