Fine sunny day. Battalion marched at 9.15 am. To NEUVILLETTE and billeted.
2 May ST. AMAND
Sunny day. Battalion marched off at 10 am. Via HENU, PAS, GRENAS to HALLOY and arrived 1pm. Rain in afternoon.
Got 2 Barrels English beer from Mondicourt. Drums played in camp. Enemy raided Salient causing considerable damage.
1 May Trenches – MONCHY
Beautiful sunny day. Enemy Artillery very active especially on SALIENT. – MOSTLY 5.9’S & Aerial Torpedoes. Relieved at night by 13th K.R.R. and Battalion marched to ST AMAND arriving 11pm.
30 Apr. Trenches – MONCHY
Fine day. Enemy Aeroplane dropped 4 bombs on our trenches. Artillery on both sides fairly active. General LAMBTON & Bd. General WILDING came round the trenches.
29 Apr. Trenches – MONCHY
Another fine day. Enemy Artillery not so active as formerly. Dark clear night.
28 Apr. Trenches – MONCHY
Glorious day, quite hot. Enemy active all round. 4 Trench Mortars fell in Sector 84. Sniping active at night.
27 Apr. Trenches – MONCHY
Fine warm sunny day. Enemy Artillery again very active. All front line trenches shelled & also Hd.Qrs – mostly with 5.9’s. Aircraft active. 2nd Lieut. BEAMISH slightly wounded. Enemy snipers & M. Guns very active all night. Dark night.
26 Apr. Trenches – MONCHY
Fine warm day. Enemy artillery very active. Enemy registered on STONEYGATE TRENCH. 10 Aerial Torpedoes fired into SHELL ST & SALIENT SUPPORT. No damage. Aeroplanes active. Sniping & M Gun fire very active at night.

Warm sunny day. Enemy artillery active especially on “B”Coys front. Sniping very active at night. 100 4.9’s fired into BIENVILLERS to find our 4.7 Siege Battery, no direct hits.
