Fine morning but cloudy. Many Happy returns & thoughts of my darling wife.

Bttn cleans up & has inspection parades & expect to move tomorrow. SM DUNTON comes over at night & we have a quiet drink.

Fine morning. Bttn parades ready to move at 9.40pm(?) & we proceed by march route to K Camp via WATOU arriving about 1.0pm (?) Huts & tents but camp very dirty. All Brigade together. Fritz very active at night but not on us.

Fine morning & we have a very nice day the best for some time. Det moves at 2.0pm by march route via HERZEELE-WATOU & arrives at camp about 5.0pm. Bttn just marching in at same time. They all look very weary & dirty. Fritz over at night otherwise quiet

Bad morning, rain again nearly all day camp in very bad state, we get orders to move tomorrow to PLURENDON CAMP. Send orderly on & he reports camp in a bad state.

Fine morning, rain again in afternoon, very cold & miserable.

Fin morning, wind fairly strong. Det does parades as usual. No news from Bttn.

Fine morning, rain later, parades cancelled too wet. Cold & miserable all day.

Fine day strong wind. Ground soon dries up. Det does a route march via Herzeele. Have a stroll at night for about an hour. Fine night.

Fine early morning, some rain later. Very strong wind. Det does drill. Bayonet fighting in afternoon. Very wet night heavy rain from 4.0pm.

Fine morning, but wet again later, no church pde too much rain, very rough day throughout. Heavy gunfire in the morning. Quiet night.
