Jun 26 BLUE LINE
Fine morning, fresh wind. Not much doing Bttn get orders to relieve 1st Hampshires in the railway cutting, Brigade support, and move up at 3.30pm. Good relief no casualties. I move back to Transport, also Maj LACON who is going on leave.

Showery morning. Fritz active with a long range gun. Shells places round us but does no damage as far as we know. Few more rounds in the afternoon. Quiet night some rain.
June 24 BLUE LINE
Fine morning. Church Service 11.30am. Then HC. Very nice service. R.I.F.[Royal Irish Fusiliers] carry out a raid at night which is successful. Several prisoners taken.

Fine morning nothing much doing only cleaning up, aircraft very active, several hostile planes over our lines in the afternoon.
June 22 St. CATHERINE
Showery morning. We get orders of Bttn being relieved tonight, come back into Stirling Camp old BLUE Line. I go up at 6.0pm & take over Hd Qrs. Much different to our last appearance there, not at all bad. Bttn relieved by 1st R.I.Fus [Royal Irish Fusiliers]. Relief complete about 2.0am. Turn in about 5.0am.
June 21 St. CATHERINE
Fine morning some showers later. Cold a bit better, but not feeling too well. Col & BINAN returns from leave, both look well. Col says he will try & get me a month. Sgnt WILLIAMS killed. We bury Pte GUBBINS at 2.0pm, died of wounds.

Fine morning. I have a nice rest, feel a bit better, cold still very tight. Heavy rain at night. Bed early but not a good nights sleep.

Fine morning. Thunder & rain in afternoon. Feel rather poorly, cold still bad. Church parade 10.0am, get ready to move into the line at night. Bttn relieves 2nd Essex. 2 Coys in line, one in support & one in reserve. I go back to Transport at St. Catherine. Fairly good night.
