Fine morning we get orders to move at 2.30pm. Fritz sends us some big 14” shells, but does very little damage, 6 Seaforths slightly wounded. Move at 12.30pm to BLANGY PARK in tents arriving there about 3.30pm. very nice, trees not knocked about very much. Nice place for a swim etc. Working party at night of 130.

Fine day Bttn goes to Baths & training 1 Off & 50 men working party by day.

Fine morning, get ready to move by lorry to ARRAS. I am detailed for billeting & proceed at 12.0 noon, arriving at ARRAS about 3.0pm. Get billets for Bttn in Rue de St Augustine. Hd Qrtrs & myself in Rue-de-Nocquet d’Or at No.10. not bad billets. Fritz puts some big ones in during the morning. Quiet night. Saw Red Rocket. Good.

Wet morning, Bttn lectures in barn etc. Clears up about 11.0am NCO’s parade in afternoon. 4 footer matches at 5.0pm. Good night.

Dull morning but fine. Clears up later. Bgde parades for medal presentation by Div General. 17 recipients. No church parade. I have a ride into FREVENT in the afternoon, not much of a place. Home again for tea. Very heavy thunderstorm at night lasting from 1.0am to 7.0am heavy rain & very bad time. Not much sleep.
