From 5 August, people can give their comments as part of a review which aims to ensure Dorset’s town and parish councils continue to reflect the communities they represent.
For the elections on 6 May, Dorset Council is putting in place many of the measures we’ve become used to over recent months.

A list of decisions made by Dorset Council as part of its COVID-19 emergency response has been published for review.
Since the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic started Dorset Council has been working to hold all public meetings virtually.
The business of deciding planning permission through democratically elected committees continues at Dorset Council. The council is using Microsoft Teams to conduct virtual meetings during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Councils were given new powers to hold public meetings remotely on 4 April.
As a result of the current COVID-19 outbreak, Dorset Council will be hosting its committee meetings virtually following changes to legislation, starting with Cabinet.
Considering the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Dorset Council has taken the decision to postpone all its committee meetings until central government advice is issued on how to continue democratic services.
