Dorset residents are being asked to check their electoral registration details are correct to make sure they retain their right to vote in future elections and referendums.
People have voted and the results are in for the May 2021 town council by-elections and neighbourhood plan referendums in Dorset. An election also took place for the Police and Crime Commissioner.
For the elections on 6 May, Dorset Council is putting in place many of the measures we’ve become used to over recent months.
Candidates standing in this year’s Police and Crime Commissioner elections and some town and parish council by-elections in Dorset have been published.

Results of the 2019 General Election are now in for Dorset.
Residents who confirmed their voter details online, by phone or text have helped Dorset Council reduce costs.
We have sent household enquiry forms for the electoral register to all residential properties in Dorset. Look out for an envelope addressed ‘To the occupier’.
