A grant programme that can provide revenue support to arts, culture and heritage organisations within the Dorset Council area has opened for applications.
Newly installed solar panels at two of Dorset Council’s waste depots are already producing over 200,000 kWh of renewable energy each year and providing most of each building’s power needs.
The Dorset Council managed fund helps ‘not for profit’ community groups or cultural groups that are looking for funds. These groups can be museums, community, sports or arts organisations. The fund can award up to £5,000 towards a project.
Councillors and officers are working hard on how they intend to update and upgrade Dorset Council’s properties using £19 million of grant funding, awarded by the government to help to tackle the Climate and Ecological Emergency.
Businesses in the Dorset Council area affected by the current COVID-19 restrictions can now apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG).
We are delighted to announce that the Government’s Department for Transport has awarded £438,000 to Dorset Council as part of the Active Travel Fund. This funding will be used for walking and cycling improvements across the county as we move towards a greener, cleaner Dorset.
Grants are now available to help improve the lives of people living or working in Dorset.
A Conservation and Community Fund has been re-opened for the parish areas of Warmwell, Crossways, Knightsford, Broadmayne, Owermoigne, Puddletown, Moreton, and Winfrith Newburgh.
