The Dorset Care Record has elevated our ability to look at the patient’s record above that provided by the Summary Care Record. As it has a user friendly interface and with no smart card required I can access it anywhere and get the latest information from primary care on my patients.
Most recently it has been of use in seeing who has been immunised for flu so allowing us to a make the correct choices around prophylaxis when they have been exposed.

This was the first occasion for many to have their say on key issues around what should be within the Citizen Portal.
