A Wessex bid, including Dorset has been chosen as one of the three areas in the UK to become a Local Health and Care Record Exemplar (LHCRE).
Early adopters have found a wide range of benefits of using the Dorset Care Record including its ease of use, help for a vulnerable person potentially caught up in bad weather and enhanced information to provide support for a lady at risk of falls:
Demographic data from Dorset’s three acute hospitals and GP records are set to be shared as the first phase of the Dorset Care Record starts in the next few weeks.
Leaflets, posters and videos informing people about the Dorset Care Record (DCR) will be available in GP surgeries, libraries, hospitals and local authority buildings over the next few weeks.
