Quiet night & day. Germans fired 3 heavy mortars at “A” Coy before “Stand Too [sic]” Strafe by R.I.F. [Royal Irish Fusiliers] at 8 pm.. Work on Trenches continued. Fine hot day.

Quiet night & day. Germans fired 2 mortars into “C” Coy at 4.15 am. Work carried on in BLENEAU Street and MONK TRENCH. Fine.
