We have launched a combined, single mandatory learning module for the Dorset Care Record, “Information Sharing and Security.” This replaces the two former mandatory modules, “Security” and “Interim Consent/Discussion to View.”
The move follows a review of mandatory training, which showed there was a strong demand to reduce the compulsory element.
We have released this as soon as possible, ahead of the changes to the current consent screen on the DCR system, which is now due to take place at the end of October. Rather than wait for the next release, we have included “as is” and “will be” slides in respect of the changes to current/discussion to view. Once the release goes live, we will remove any evidence of the current consent system.
We currently have 810 DCR live users on the system from across the DCR Partnership. With new functionality coming soon, including allergies from Dorset County Hospital and pathology from Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch and Poole Hospitals, we would encourage health and social care staff to sign up to the DCR.
