As part of our latest release, which took place over the weekend, we have introduced problem lists.
Clinicians will see that a new problem list tab is now available in the Dorset Care Record. It can be used for viewing allergies, alerts and diagnosis (problems). There will also be a link from the allergies and alerts buttons in the patient banner to the problem list tab.
Note, you will also still be able to view allergies and alerts where they are currently located.
“You will not be able to add or update problems from within the DCR system. Initially, it will be read-only for all staff except those working on the diabetes pathway when it goes live later this year.
The problem list has two sections:
- The top deals with problems that have been manually entered in the DCR system (initially this will come from the diabetes team).
- The bottom section “External Sources” shows problems that have been fed into the DCR from other systems.
In addition, problems can also be seen in the Primary Care tab and allergies from the patient summary.
IMPORTANT: To get a full picture of the allergies, alerts and diagnosis available to the DCR you will need to scroll down the problem list to see all listed AND also look at the GP record.
Other feeds that have gone in to the DCR in this weekend’s release include:
- DHC Rio Single Sign On
- Bug Fixes
- Patient and hospital list user interface improvements
- myDCR (citizen portal) code set
