BCP launch demographics into DCR and a helping hand for Yeovil

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has become the second local authority to deliver demographics into the Dorset Care Record.

Adult services spokeswoman Bernadette Osmond said she was delighted with the move: “Word has quickly spread that the information it holds is of great benefit to the staff, particularly in these difficult times.

“Our project team has worked tirelessly to deliver our demographics into the DCR and we’re delighted we’ve been able to do so.”

BCP are working with Orion Health and service provider Servelec to move to Single Sign On for their Mosaic users as soon as possible.

In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been working with Yeovil Hospital in Somerset to look to provide their Emergency Department and appropriate clinical staff with access to the Dorset Care Record. Around a quarter of their patients come from North Dorset.

We are also seeing DCR usage rise sharply with more than 1,600 health and social care professionals now using the system.
