Moving to a New DCR System
We will soon be moving soon from the current DCR system to a new DCR system.
The current DCR system is provided by Orion Health, and this contract is due to end. Going forward, the new DCR system will be provided by Interweave.
The new DCR system has been designed by NHS clinicians and care workers. It contains the same data as the current system, but the way it is presented is different. We hope you will find this clearer and easier to use.
Using Both Systems During the Transition
To ensure a safe and smooth transition, both systems will be used at the same time for a temporary period.
This means:
- We do not need to switch everything over at once
- Day-to-day work can continue without disruption
You will be told when you need to transition to the new system. This arrangement will remain in place until the rollout is complete.
Access and Rollout
We will let you know when the rollout will take place and what you need to do. At the moment:
- You can only access the current DCR system
- Access to the new system is limited to users invited to take part in testing the new system.
Getting Access to the Current DCR System
You must complete the mandatory training. You can choose one or both options:
