An inactive user survey is being circulated to find out why people no longer use the Dorset Care Record. The DCR is being used by nearly 4,000 health and social care professionals. Most are using Single Sign On click throughs from their Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system to get into the DCR at the touch of a button.
From a recent survey in February 2022 with active users, we learnt that approx. 95% of users saved time, and were able to improve the care they give by using our shared care record.
The patient portal ‘myDCR’ is also coming soon and currently being piloted. You will be able to use this to interact with your patients by publishing documents, creating goals and actions, and contributing to the circle of care amongst lots of other functions. However, to utilise it you will need to have access to the DCR to invite a patient to myDCR.
For more information on myDCR, please see the myDCR leaflets and watch the myDCR video
To help us improve the DCR for professionals like yourself across the DCR health and social care partnership, we would be grateful if you could spend 5 minutes filling in our short survey. It will allow you to say why you don’t use the DCR, what you like and don’t like about the DCR, and what you’d love to see added or changed and any training requirements.
We are currently offering a 30 minute DCR Mandatory Training webinar, also available as an e-learning module to get staff started on using the DCR system. To access the training, please follow this link: https://news.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/dcr-staff-area/dcr-training-modules/.
Please complete the survey by 3rd May 2022 and thank you for taking part.
